Green tea (Camellia sinensis, minimally processed) is one of the most extensively researched foods in existence. The primary reason is its exceptionally high concentration of catechins — particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) — which has measurable effects across multiple disease pathways. Primary Active Compounds
